What is the best poker gambling site to play on?

January 3, 2009 · Filed Under Gambling
Jon B asked:

I’ve heard that some sites are rigged in certain situations
(one being that they will have large hands hit eachother at the same time so that people will go out quicker). I didn’t believe it at first but I’ve been noticing it happening more than it should if it was random.

Anyways, paranoya aside, what seems to be a good site to play poker on?

Thanks!

I would say poker stars. Great software, plenty of opponents.

pokerstars is good.. and I have made the same observations in the past about most poker sites.

of course I have seen some crazy hands come out in the weekend games with friends at my place too, so I wouldn’t worry about too much. play for fake money for a few weeks and get the feel of how the site plays, then try with cash.

Full tilt is one of the best sites with a lot of different tournaments and I play there and I am absolutely sure everything is okay. You can find more info here

Full Tilt and Poker Stars are probably O.K. you can never too sure though. Big $ pours through those sites. They are under gov. inspection and monitoring but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a chance of foul play. The computer hands do seem odd especially in free roll games. Turning tables and putting players on TILT with doctored hands would be an advantage for them and there could be insider moves that would be undetectable.

Poker Stars is ok but Its so big you never know what kind of player your up against. I like smaller sites that are just getting started the players there seem to be easier. One is Bodogpoker. If your not in America, Partypoker is one of my favorites.

I would stick to the top two sites in the US which are Full Tilt and Poker Stars. These sites both have plenty of players, tons of tourneys and great random card generators.

The idea of the sites been rigged is just a myth. But anyway, I would suggest you the more popular site. Full Tilt, Poker Stars, Absolute Poker, Ultimate Bet.
